My bedroom is an expression of myself. An extension of my personality and what I associate with feelings of ‘home’. When I think about my room and the comfort it provides me, I am reminded of the childlike toys, trinkets, and soft animals I continue to surround myself with. My photographic artworks reflect how I have grown alongside my bedroom, while softly displaying the fond feeling of coming home to my bedroom. Each precious item is a reminder of a moment or person I hold dear.
Using cyanotype as a medium evokes the fragility of a memory while providing the melancholic nostalgia of childhood and grief.
